Forrest passed away at 85 after a brief illness. Born to George and Hazel "Giles" Peters in Spokane, WA. The family resided in St. John, Palisades, and Wenatchee, WA. Pete graduated from Wenatchee High and Oregon State University with a BA Degree in Agronomy. He joined the U.S Marine Corp, Korean War Veteran and was in active service for six years.
He was employed by Bayer Corp, Chemagra, Terra and Spangle Grange. Through the years his memberships included Spokane Shriners, mobile unit, Master Mason Orchard Lodge 200, Spokane Valley eagles, and VFW 1435.
In the past years he enjoyed mountain climbing, golfing, skiing and instructing, and in earlier years touring on his Harley.
Forrest is survived by sons: Don Peters from Wenatchee and Bruce and Roma Peters of Post Angeles; step-son: Curtis Graham of Mexico; two granddaughters and two great grandchildren.
Forrest is preceded in death by sister: Beverly Callahan; and brother: Walt Peters.
He enjoyed his yearly Giles family reunion and surviving companionship of Beverly Stenson and family. Veteran memorial pending. Donations to Children Shriners Hospital, 911 W. 5th Ave, Spokane, WA 99204.
