

Frank Stiles (age 94) went to be with his Lord on January 28, 2011. He was born August 20, 1916, in Turk, WA and went to school at Hunters. Frank was a man of varied talents and interests. He spent most of his life farming in Fruitland and did some surveying as well. He enjoyed mining, history, and would talk for hours about the Civil War and family history. He also wrote a great deal of poetry over the years, often on the nearest scrap of paper he could find. Recently he attended church services at Fairwood Retirement Community in Spokane. Family was everything to Frank, and he was always helping someone in need. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
He is survived by two daughters, Janice Arneson of Kettle Falls, WA, Marlene Nelson (Edward) of Crooked River Ranch, OR; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Arneson of Mountlake Terrace, WA; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Evelyn Stiles (2007); his son, Glenn M. Arneson (2001); and three sisters.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, February 4, 2011 in the Alwin Chapel at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
