Geoffrey Arn Yates

Jeff was born on January 7, 1958 to Robert H and Fosetta B (Scott) Yates in Lafayette, Indiana. His family moved from Delphi, Indiana to California in 1972 where he graduated from San Dieguito High School in 1977. Jeff married Mickie Lorraine Close and they had one daughter, Nikko Desiree. In 1990 his family moved to Spokane, Washington where he lived until his passing.

Jeff worked as a union carpenter most of his career. He was very accomplished and in great demand for his finish work. Jeff worked out of Local 59 in Spokane, Washington until he retired in 2020.

Besides his beloved daughter, Nikko and two grandchildren, Emmowyn and Orren, Jeff loved to fish. He fished much of the Northwest’s lakes and streams, as well as Alaska and Canada.

Jeff was predeceased by his parents Robert H and Fosetta B Yates and a brother, Roland Yates.

He is survived by his daughter, Nikko (Matthew) Denny of Spokane, Washington; two grandchildren, Emmowyn Setta and Orren Patrick-Arn Denny of Spokane, Washington; four brothers, Robert F Yates (Linda Gretter) of Brooksville, FL; Max A Yates (Jan) of Chino Valley, AZ; Steven M Yates (Patty) of Palo Verde, CA; Bradley D Yates of Lake Havasu City, AZ and one sister, Pamela J Mansfield-Fullford (Joe) of Brooksville, FL as well as 14 nieces and nephews.
