Geri was born to Viola Frizzell at the Nespelem Hospital on January 18, 1940. Geri lived the first four years of her life on the Spokane Indian Reservation where she learned the traditions and values that would be her foundation. Her grade school years were spent in California, and she attended high school in Colville, WA. In high school, she met the love of her life, her future husband Jerry Pelissier. After graduation Geri attended Kinman Business College where she learned the skills that would begin her career in banking. She thrived as a teller for Seattle First National Bank and retired from the Bank of America as a Vice President and Manager of Card Services. Her last job in banking was with Spokane Tribal Credit at Wellpinit. Always curious and full of energy Geri also explored a variety of other jobs. She was Secretary for the Washington State Patrol, drove a school bus for the Spokane School District, piloted the Gifford Ferry and drove a CAT in the woods piling brush for KAP Logging.
With a strong belief in service to others she was a Foster Parent, Girl Scout Leader, Baton twirling founder and teacher of the Moonspinners, and she considered her work for Hospice of Spokane the most meaningful of her life.
Geri is survived by her mother Vi Frizzell, children; Kathi Miller, David and Dean Pelissier and, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who cherished her boundless energy, joyous, generous and loving spirit.
At her request, there will be no services. Geri will be interred with her husband at the Washington Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Medical Lake.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BallandDodd.com for the Pelissier family.
