Weep not tears of sorrow, God saw me getting tired when a cure was not to be, then He whispered, “Come to Me.”
Gwen was born May 24, 1958 to Lloyd and Gladys Warner. She was the baby of the family and the only girl. She was great aunt to Dillon, Isabella, Alley Cat, Jacob, Robert and Kurtis; aunt to Kenneth, Erin, Lisa, Douglas and Kerri Warner, and Cory and Chrissy Bradford. Her parents and older brother have passed, leaving her middle brother Ron and his wife Jackie.
Her biggest regret is leaving behind Marshall A. Yenney who had never married and asked her for the rest of their lives together at the age of 42. She said “Yes” and they were married in 2003, a relationship that was respected, cherished and admired. They shared their passion for riding their Harleys, the most memorable trip being in 2008 when they rode to Boston on a four week, 7,000 mile road trip.
In April 2010, Gwen was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma. Since that time Marshall has been her caregiver as she battled through various treatments and surgeries.
No services will be held at her request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spokane Humane Society, 6607 N. Havana St., Spokane, WA 99217 (www.spokanehumanesociety.org), her favorite charity.
Arrangements entrusted to Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St., Spokane.
