He was born July 13, 1930, in Rainsburg, PA, to parents Paul Logue and Goldine Mower. James graduated from Spokane Community College with a degree in Geology. In 1952, James married Catherine Potter, and together the couple had four children. He had a long career with the United States Air Force, serving honorably for 26 years as a boom operator. His career inspired several other family members to follow his example and join the military.
James enjoyed many hobbies, from collecting coins, continuing his scientific studies, reading, farming, and working on vehicles. His family and friends will always remember him as a very thankful and generous person.
James was the last surviving sibling out of six sisters and five brothers. His wife Catherine also preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Sarah Ratzlaff, Jimmy Logue, Jamie Woods, and Vicky Sandvig, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30pm, Saturday, March 16, 2024, in Greenwood Memorial Terrace. All are welcome to attend and celebrate James’s life.
The family would like to thank Allan’s Place Extended Comfort Care. Flowers may be sent to Ball & Dodd for services, or charitable donations may be made in James Logue Sr.’s name to a charity of your choice.
Ball & Dodd Funeral Home is conducting Professional Services.
He will be greatly missed!
