She has been an inspiration to some of her grandchildren with her love of writing. She kept her hands busy with crocheting hundreds of scarves and hand towels, which she always donated what her family didn’t graciously receive. She also was an avid painter. She entered some of her paintings in the Spokane County Fair and received ribbons for those oil paintings. Paintings created by her, decorate many homes. She started bearing children early in life and raised 10 of her own. She and Keith sponsored, to the USA, several refugee families at the conclusion of the Vietnam War.
