I met John when he became my patient (I was his nurse) and he had listened to me talking to a WWII vet next to him. He told me the most amazing stories and we became friends! He was the kindest Christian man I have known, love for life and people! Listening to his stories was like watching a fascinating movie! He said he was writing a story and I never found out if he did or not. I would love a copy of it if he did! I met he and his wife at lunches and dinners in Coeur d Alene! He will truly be missed! Wish I could have said “bye for now” as he would always say!

I just met John last summer, he was a customer of mine, what a dear, thoughtful, funny, caring, wonderful person he was. I loved his stories, such an interesting person who brought light with him wherever he went. I will truly miss him. My heart and prayers go out to his lovely wife Nuala and all his children and grandchildren of whom he spoke of so often. It's a truly special person that comes into your life for so short a time, yet leaves so much with you when they are gone. I will never forget John as long as I live.

John was the most loyal,kind, interested in others person I have ever known. He was a true friend to many in encouragement and prayer. God came first in his life. He was a man of deep contemplation and prayer. John was a gifted writer and his stories inspired all who read them. I will greatly miss my dear friend John and I extend my condolences to Nuala and his children.

We will never forget John and his love and care for our wee family in America. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Nuala and the family circle

My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

Nuala, Kevin, Bernadette Sean and family;

Our deepest sympathy for your loss of a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Celebrate the life he lived and cherish the wonderful memories forever. John will be truly missed by all who were fortunate to know him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all
