

She is preceded in death by her husband Ervin; her oldest daughter Jeanette Hubbard; and her grandchild Elise Imhof. She is survived by her children, Keith Larson, Sharon Burkwist, and Judy Harris; her nine grandchildren; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers, Edgar Ronning and Wes Ronning.
She was born on July 4, 1924 in Fargo, North Dakota. As a child she showed a gift for music and a love of sports that she passed on to her children and grandchildren. In addition to being an accomplished pianist, she played the organ, carillon and directed bell choirs. She served as organist at several local Lutheran Churches and assistant carillonneur at St. John’s Cathedral. Jordis lived a wonderful, generous, loving and impactful life. Her family was always her top priority. There was never a day where a hot pot of coffee and a plate full of her delicious cookies weren’t waiting for her loved ones. Jordis’s generous spirit and unconditional love carried through to her family for 93 years; she will be missed terribly.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 316 E 24th Ave, Spokane, WA, Saturday, February 17, 2018, 1 PM.
