June passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 5, 2017 in Spokane, WA. June is a longtime resident in Spokane, she was blessed to reside the last 6 years at Emilie Ct where she made many new friends. She was born to Francis and Margaret Meyers in Butte, MT in 1921. June graduated from Rogers High School, Spokane Community College and completed her nurses training in Wenatchee, WA. She served as a Cadet and Red Cross nurse. June also spent time in private patient nursing before starting with Deaconess Hospital in 1957 and later Holy Family hospital, retiring in 1977. She loved spending her summers at Pinelow Church Camp where she volunteered as the teenagers nurse. She belonged to the Pillars at Westside Church of the Nazarene and was instrumental in keeping the prayer chain active. June was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Francis Joseph Meyers; sister-in-law, Doris Landau; husband, Francis Kingsley and special friend, Meryle Tess. She is survived by brother, Jim (Jan) Meyers, Greendale, WI; daughter, Linda (Ron)Young, Spokane, WA; son, Paul (Glenna) Kingsley, Wenatchee, WA; granddaughters, Lisa Hartin, Spokane, WA; Gretchen (Dean) Warren, Wenatchee, WA; grandson, Trevor (Inga) Kingsley, Pullman, WA; great grandson, Austin Hartin; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hartin, both of Spokane, WA; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexander, Rebekah Warren, Wenatchee, WA, Eleanor Kingsley, Pullman, WA; special nephew, Frankie (Dottie) Knighton, Camas, WA; special friends, Colleen Prophet and Leroy Truitt. A celebration of June’s life will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017, at 1:00pm at the Westside Church of the Nazarene, 2820 W Francis Ave, Spokane, WA. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Westside Nazarene, Union Gospel Mission or Anna Ogden Hall.
