Karla F. Fair Russell

Karla J. Fair Russell passed away on February 9, 2013, in Spokane at the age of 71. Karla was born on April 2, 1941, in Spokane, WA; she was the daughter of Karl C. and Virginia (Haas) Fair. She was raised in Spokane and graduated from Rogers High School in 1959. She moved to Fairbanks, AK, where she worked for the Alaska National Bank. She met Jim Russell, and they were married on June 17, 1961, in Fairbanks. They moved to Spokane in 1978, and Karla worked for Check Rite and The Information Source for many years. Karla enjoyed bowling, traveling, and being with her family.

She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Jim Russell; son, Brent J. Russell, of Coeur d’Alene, ID; granddaughter, Alexis Russell; and sister, Karen (Owen)Thompson of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents in 2002.

Funeral services for Karla Russell will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at 10:00 am in the Alwin Chapel of Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
