

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 9 AM to 12:30 PM at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St. Funeral Services will follow at 1 PM in the Alwin Chapel at Hazen & Jaeger.
Kathleen was born January 9, 1927 at Sacred Heart Medical Center. She has a long history of accomplishments in Spokane, including her high school education at Lewis and Clark High School, her 1950 graduation from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing, and years of commitment to the PTA, Girl Scouts and Campfire Association. She was the 1972 recipient of the Golden Acorn Award, a Washington State PTA honor bestowed in recognition of service to children.
Kathleen was a devoted Catholic, a staunchly loyal Democrat and a proud parent of five children. She enjoyed gardening and spending countless hours in her kitchen, working on her recipe collection and baking.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Melvin Hill; as well as her five children, Thomas Hill and his wife Theresa of Spirit Lake, ID, Kathy Wong and her husband Miguel of Lynnwood, WA, David Hill and his wife Patti of Spokane, Deborah Thoreson of Spokane, and Barbara Sosnowski and her husband Dana of Salinas, CA. Kathleen leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was greatly loved and will be missed.
