Leslie Calvin Rucker born on March 4,1951 in Prosser, WA to Lee and Irene Rucker, passed away March 26, 2021 in Spokane, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Irene Rucker and sisters Ronda Rucker and Linda Wood. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie Rucker; daughters Tina Krous (Reed), Danielle Hodgen (Ken) and Rhonda Neal (Jason); brother Richard Rucker; grandchildren Kerry (Chris), Kassandra, Dustin, Brendan, Zachary and Logan; great grandchildren Morgan, Blake, Maddie, Lizzy and Alex and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Les graduated from Ferris HS in 1969. That same year he began work at Union Pacific Railroad, where he worked until he retired in 2011. He joined the Army in 1971 and was stationed in Korea until his return home in late 1972. Les had a flair for life that was evident to all those that knew him. He spent his free time fishing, bowling, camping, woodworking, clockmaking and a variety of differing projects over the years. He was so skilled at everything that he made! Some of Les' fondest memories were those spent with his family and friends enjoying all the activities that he loved to do. We will miss his "fish" stories (and not always just about tish), his infectious laugh, his playful banter, his compassion, his spunkiness, his love of GU basketball and mostly the love he had for his family.
Les was an amazing husband, father and grandfather! Our family will never be the same; we will always feel his absence but we will celebrate the life he lived and the joy he brought into each of our lives! Thank you for the memories, for being such a great role model and for always loving us unconditionally. Look over us in heaven like you always did in life!
