Lila M. (Haden) Draper, age 95, passed peacefully into heaven in Spokane, Washington May 15,2020. She was born to Isadia and Esli Haden in Wilbur, Washington on January 6, 1925. Lila graduated from Wilbur High School in 1942. She married her high school sweetheart and neighbor, Robert (Bob) Draper on Oct. 3, 1943. Lila and Bob were married 72 years before his death in 2016. Their love and fun filled marriage was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Lila and Bob lived on their wheat and cattle ranch, raised six children, until they retired in 1983. They moved to the Indian Prairie area near Spokane and built their dream log home. Lila’s greatest passion was her family. She was a great cook, baker, seamstress, and knitter and had won many local and state prizes. Throughout the years, Lila loved to camp and travel to new places. She had been very active in her church, 4-H, grange, Homemakers Club, and Spokampers. Camp Na-Bor-Lee was a special passion for both Lila and Bob. Many years were spent developing and camping there with family and friends.
Lila is preceded in death by parents, Isadia and Esli Haden, husband Robert (Bob) Draper, brother Donald Haden, daughter Linda Rae Savelesky, son Wallace (Wally) Eugene Draper, and son James (Jim) Robert Draper. She is survived by daughters Susan (&Steven) Randel, Gayle Bunnell, and Patti (&Pat) Bunnell. Son-in-law David Savelesky, daughters-in-law Carol Draper and Kathy Draper, 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson, numerous nieces and nephews.
