Lynda (Gilly) Eileen Breeden, 71, passed away on December 1, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her passing. Gilly was born December 27, 1951 to Howard and Eileen Green in Spokane, WA. After graduating from Holy Names Academy (Spokane) in 1970, she attended the University of Washington where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and earned her B.A. in Psychology. She also met James Breeden there. They wed in 1976 and were married for 46 years.
Gilly was a dedicated wife and mother. Supporting her family was her biggest passion and most rewarding job. Cats and dogs were also a huge joy in her life, and her dogs Maddie and Lola gave her much comfort during her illness. Her other interests included spending time at the Oregon Coast, cooking, reading, stamping, and making a beautiful, welcoming home.
Gilly is survived by her husband, Dr. James Breeden; son, Dr. Eric Breeden (Sunny) and grandson Bryce Breeden of Bothel, WA; daughter Lindsey Breeden (Mark Buskey) of Washington, D.C.; sister Gail Ryan (Jerry) of Bellevue, WA; brother Rick Green (Mary Beth) and nieces Bethany and Kelsey Green of Seattle, WA; Sister-in-law Marcia Plunk (Paul) and nephew Brad Wallace of Lucas, TX, and niece Jamie Wallace-Strange of Camas, WA. Gilly was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Eileen Green of Spokane, WA. Gilly will be deeply missed by the family and friends that she loved so much.
