Mitchell Ackerman of Spokane, Washington passed away on October 1, 2026. He was born on July 23, 1964 in Spokane, Washington and attended University High School before working a lengthy, successful career as an investment banker for UBS. He was an avid fisherman, patron of the arts, and voracious reader with a huge love for knowledge.
In his forty-one year partnership with his wife Lenni, they had three children: Sophie, Avery and Aiden. He raised them with unimaginable joy and laughter, and gifted them with his enduring passion for life.
William Shakespeare wrote in his play Twelfth Night, “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.” We honor Mitchell Ackerman—the man who achieved all three.
