Neva Jean Howell

Neva Jean (Sherman-Waters) Howell- born December 10, 1927 at Ballantine, MT, the youngest and last-surviving of six children, passed away November 27, 2011 in Post Falls, ID. She was raised on her parents’ farm and graduated from Mount Ellis Academy, in Bozeman, MT in 1946. After a few years in Billings, MT Neva spent most of her adult life in Spokane, WA. She worked for Sears, Roebuck & Co. for 23 years. A loving wife, mother and friend, she enjoyed crafting, gardening, boating and fishing with her husband of 42 years, James (Marshall) Howell. They enjoyed their retirement wintering at Carriage Manor in Mesa, AZ for 15+ years. Neva was preceded in death by Marshall in 2005. She is survived by her daughter Jeanne (Waters-Brown) Boschee of Portland, OR, her son and daughter-in-law Dann and Rose Waters of Hayden, ID, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and her extended family of numerous nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Ray Ruef officiating. Private inurnment will be at Pines Cemetery, Spokane Valley.
