Stearns, Pauline Mae 9/6/1934 ~ 9/14/2011 Pauline is survived by her husband of 58 years, LeRoy Stearns; sons, Vernon, Allen, Mark, Brett, and Elroy Stearns; daughters, Carol Evans and Celia Stearns; 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Cecilia and Magnus Abrahamson; 3 brothers; 2 sisters and grandson, A.J. Stearns. She lived on the Spokane Indian Reservation her entire life. She served on the Spokane Tribal Business Council for 3 terms; and dedicated her life to working with children. Pauline worked at daycare, Head Start, the local school and cared for her own grandchildren. A Wake will be held at the family home on Saturday, 9/17/2011, LeRoy Stearns home, 5963 B Martha Boardman Rd., Wellpinit, WA. A Wake on Sunday, 9/18/2011, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00pm at the Wellpinit Longhouse. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, 9/19/2011, 10:00am at the Wellpinit Community Center. Final Resting place, Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Wellpinit, WA.
