Phyllis H Starr

STARR, Phyllis H. (age 96) passed away January 3, 2017 in Spokane, WA. She was born November 4, 1920 in Montezuma, Iowa to Lloyd and Vada Hollingsworth. She attended college in Oregon, where she met and married Carl Starr. In 1952 they moved to Spokane where Phyllis worked as a Registered Nurse at Deaconess Hospital for 30 years. She was a lifetime member of Mission Community Presbyterian Church, as well as Beta Sigma Phi. She has been a resident of the Riverview Retirement Community for 16 years.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Starr (1997). She is survived by her daughter, Gloria R. Costello (John) of Spokane; her son, Jerry L. Starr (Teresa) of Logan, UT; three grandchildren, John M. Costello (Micaela) of Shoreline, WA, Mindy A. Thompson (Eric) of Spokane, Joseph M. Costello (Grace) of Bellevue, WA; and four great grandchildren.
