Ray Idaho Davis passed away peacefully November 17, 2017, at the age of 84. He was born December 17, 1932, in McGregor, Texas. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1953 in Spokane, where he was a gifted athlete. He later was a tanker in the U.S. Army.
Ray was employed at Greyhound for 36 years. He was an avid cook and loved to barbecue for his family and friends. He also loved sports, music and spending time with friends and family. Ray was an excellent storyteller with an amazing memory for details.
Ray is survived by his wife, Edith Davis; two sons, Rodney Davis (Teresa) and Ray Davis (Michelle); four daughters, Sherri Davis – Wilson (Joe), Cynthia Davis, Stacey Davis-James, and Karen Abernethy (Brett); his caretaker and grandson, Michael Davis (Kaitlyn), and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home at 5100 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA, at 10:00 am on November 27, 2017, with Pastor Happy Watkins officiating.
