As each day goes by it never gets easier.  Losing my big brother is a pain that’s indescribable. You my  beautiful brother bob was our rock, our steady advisor and the deepest love of family  is a gift we will forever try to follow.  Rest easy now you deserve it and may you be reminiscing with all your fallen soldiers.  I will miss you always and am waiting until we meet again.  Sissy

Robert Coleman Burnette was my brother, my teacher, my friend and my champion. 
He was a man that followed beauty. And shared all that was beautiful with his friends.

WOW‼️this was when we were all in Cobo San Lucus “2014” HELL OF A TIME 🍹 

This is in Cobo San Lucus 2014. We went there for our bother Phil’s service. It was absolutely beautiful. Perfect in very way. Of course… BOBBY taking over us because US GIRLS where in an unfamiliar country. All accounted for at the end of the evening. Great dinners and lots of laughs. 💔

I have known and loved Roberts family for 50 years, since 1972. Our families lived in Apple Valley, Ca when it was still a small bedroom community where everyone knew everyone. 

Robert always told wonderful and colorful stories of hunting in Alaska, deep sea fishing in Cabo San Lucas, his political opinions and an occasional story about being in the United States Marine Corps, serving two tours in Vietnam and receiving two Purple Hearts. 
 
He loved the outdoors and to read. Robert was kind and tough at the same time. He loved his family, parents Jackie & Don Sparks (who preceded him),  his siblings, brothers,  Joe & Phil (who preceded him), sisters, Cindy,  Donna, Leona & Alice, nieces & nephews and a host of friends, which I am happy to me counted among,
Rest in peace dear friend.

It is with tears in my eyes that I send my deepest condolences to Bob's family and friends.
Bob was truly my first love and although I haven't seen him in 33 years, I think of him often and will be praying for his family.
My fondest memory of him was when he told me about a Dove pie he had seen where all the little dove legs were sticking out of the top crust so I made one for him and he jumped out of his chair, circled the table and gave me a great big hug. I can still feel his arms around me to this day.  He used to say " When men were men and women were glad of it and people ate pie for breakfast!" I can still hear him. Blessings for all the family and friends.
