at Guardian Angel Homes in Liberty Lake. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years
Jean, his parents Roy and Mary Conner and his sisters Pat Bangs and Carol Crane.
Bob was a man of few words, which made the ones he spoke much more meaningful. He
expressed his love through acts of service and unselfishly worked hard his entire life to provide
a better tomorrow for his children and grandchildren. When his grandchildren were young he
would dress as Santa and walk past their picture window to bring joy and excitement of the
season to their homes. He proudly served with the US Postal Service for over 3 decades and
loved interacting with his patrons. He loved his 2nd job at Playfair race track and became quite
the ‘builder’ of homes and decks in his spare time. His laugh would fill a room and he had great
love for family and friends. Some of his fondest memories were numerous trips/gatherings with
his “Sewing Club” friends to Oregon, California and Hawaii.
Bob Is survived by his daughter Kathy (Bill) Francis, son Greg Conner, grandchildren Jason
(Morgan) Francis, Molly (Myron) Peng, Ryan (Britaney) Francis, Alysha (Nathan) Connell, 10
great-grandchildren, sisters Marilu Sanders and Margie Carter and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Special thanks to Hospice of Spokane for their loving, compassionate, dignified care and
companionship over the past several months along with the countless dedicated/caring aides at
