He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Marcia Franzen and his beloved wife of 65 years, Carol Johnson Franzen.
Bob is survived by his sisters: Audrey Fon of Fayetteville, PA and Willa Kludt of Tacoma Washington; his children Linda Hardy of Richland, WA, Gary Franzen of Tacoma, WA, Cheri (Larry) Watts of Princeton, TX, and Jeff (Erica) of Snoqualmie, WA; 9 grandchildren: Jonathan (Aida) Franzen, Tiffany South, Meredith (Josh) Corcoran, Anna (Ryne) Ray, Sarah (Josh) Hayes, Evan (Jackie) Watts, Nicki Watts, Blake Franzen, and Taylor Franzen; as well as 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob loved music all his life and participated in vocal music groups from high school until his final membership in the Spokane Melody Singers.
He and his wife enjoyed many visits to Maui, staying at a Kihei condo, still visited by family members. Bob worked at a number of jobs including being a substance abuse counselor for BNSF and a private company.
Other interests included being a HAM radio operator, and being a golfer, and avid reader. Bob belonged to several churches during his life, sang in church choirs and supported a number of church programs.

Bob will be interred next to his wife Carol at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. A private family gathering will be held at graveside, scheduled for a later date.
