Robert Wayne Hopkins

Hopkins, Robert Wayne Born - December 5, 1935 in Carrington, ND, Died – December 5, 2011 in Spokane, WA. Survived by his wife of 49 ½ years of the home; son, Russ Hopkins; daughters, Barbara (Tim) McGee, Julie (Doug) Day and Shelly (Dan) Johnson; sisters, Annette Corrigan, Jackson, PA and Phyllis Cunningham, Waco, TX; nine grandchildren and one great grandson, whom he was so very proud of. Korean War Combat Veteran, Staff Sergeant USMC 1952-58. Bob worked as a baker for several local grocery chains and was the owner/operator of the Julianne Bakery on Indian Trail Rd. in the early 70’s. He was a wonderful husband to the love of his life. Father and grandfather, who doted on his family that meant so much to him. He enjoyed his spring outings at Loon Lake, fishing with his grandsons, birthday parties, and family gatherings at the house, where he always managed to be the center of attention; he was a proud American who flew his flag daily, especially proud of his service in the USMC. He was loved and adored by all of his grandchildren who just thought the world of him. He was everyone’s favorite Grandpa and the best Dad in the world. We will miss you Papa, until we meet again. Visitation Thursday, December 8, 2011, 2:00 – 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011, at 10:00 am, Ball & Dodd Funeral Home. Interment Fairmount Memorial Park.
