Bob was born in 1948 in Little Fork, Minnesota. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Washougal, WA where he lived with his parents and eleven siblings on a farm. He graduated from Washougal High School in 1966. After graduation he joined the army and served in the Vietnam War. When he returned home, he continued his education and went to WSU for four years receiving his BA degree in Police Science and Administration. He was hired on at the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department where he worked for 30 years. He served in the Army Reserves and the Air National Guard. Bob married the love of his life Donna in 1990. When he retired he and wife Donna moved to the Priest Lake, ID community. Bob loved campfires, cutting wood, boating, snowmobiling and riding his Harley. They both did a lot of traveling and went on numerous cruises, and rode the Harley together all over Arizona. He was a member of the Kaniksu Lions Club at Priest Lake and gave his time to serving others. He enjoyed the many family and friends get togethers. Bob was a wonderful husband, father, relative and friend to many who loved and respected him. There wasn't anything he couldn't do.
Bob is survived by wife Donna; step children Darcy and Brendan Miller; Laurie Leckner (Doug); Patricia Khoyi (Raheem); many grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. His siblings Doug Soden, Carol Bittle, Eileen Soden (Don), Laura Soden (Francis), Tracy Soden, Ann Castleberry (Jeff), and Patrick Soden (Rene). Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elnora Soden; his brothers John and Jim Soden; and his sisters Judy Delavega and Nora Purdy.
Bob will be forever loved and missed. No services at this time because of covid, but it will be planned in the coming months.
