Robert “Butch” Torgerson, age 78, passed away in his home on Saturday, February 1st, 2020. Robert was born in Minot, North Dakota, to Raymond and Amber Torgerson. After remarrying, Amber and new husband Weldon Hendrickson raised Robert and his siblings in Parshall, North Dakota. Robert was a genuine man with a warm heart. In 1960, he joined the Air Force and served for four years where he was eventually stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base. Spokane became his home and where he began to build and raise his own family. In Spokane he began his lifelong career as a long-haul semi-truck driver. Starting as a company driver, he soon became an owner operator. He met his wife Connie in 1980 and together they travelled all over the country. A lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, Robert loved football and golf. Robert had a deep love of classic cars. He loved tinkering and fixing them up. Robert is survived by his wife Connie and a loving family. His sisters Maxine McDonald and Debra Luna both settled in Barstow, California. His brother Doug Hendrickson of Boyceville, Wisconsin. Survived also by his daughter Monica Braden and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom are spread out from Spokane to Seattle. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor Sunday February 9th, 2020 from 1-4PM at Darcy’s Restaurant, 10512 E. Sprague Ave, Spokane, Washington.
