Ron was born in Washington in 1945. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy before embarking on a distinguished career as a computer programmer and analyst. His work ethic was matched only by his deep commitment to his family and community.
A man of many passions, Ron was an avid church volunteer who found great joy in service. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing softball (in his younger years), tackling various home hobby projects, and, most of all, telling stories that brought laughter and warmth to every gathering. He was a joyful man with a huge heart, loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Dianna Bates; his daughters: Tina Nalbone and her husband Anthony (children Tessa and Brendan), Tammy Rowland and her husband Kerry (children Devyn and Jenna), and Candy Raglin and her husband Bob (children Kylee and Sydney). He also leaves behind many cherished brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is planned for December 13, 2025, at Tina Nalbone’s house in Spokane, WA. Anyone wishing to attend, please contact Tina or Candy for more details.
