Ron's parents moved a number of times. During his 12 years of schooling, he remembered attending 13 different schools. He graduated from Holyoke High School in Colorado. Ron joined the Air National Guard when he turned 18 and retired after 21 years. He worked as a civilian during those years and was sent on many temporary duty posts, some of which were overseas. He was called to active duty during the Viet Nam War and was stationed for a year at Phan Rang. He received a Bronze Star for his service.
Ron married Kay Brock on May 20, 1961. They moved to Brighton, CO where their daughter Rhonda was born in 1963. In 1965 they moved to Aurora where their son Randy was born. In 1974 the family moved to Spokane where Ron became owner/operator of Superior Auto Repair with a long term friend. They ran the business together for 22 years. Ron enjoyed his retirement. For 8 years he worked part time for Starplex Crowd Management as a member of the uniform Division. Ron also spent 5 years as a volunteer camp host at Fort Spokane and every winter for almost 20 years he and Kay would go south in their RV.
Ron is Survived by Kay, his loving wife of 60 years. He was the loving father of Rhonda (Tim), and Randy(Michele). He was the proud grandfather of Lex (Dana), Lynzie, Karri, Kathy and great grandfather of Emma, Austin, and Kali.
In Lieu of flowers, he asked that memorial donations be made to the Homeless Veterans of Spokane.
