Stephanie “Nikki” Galloway passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. She was born in Cleveland, Tennessee to Jeane Bryant and Troy Lee Scoggins. Nikki was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and wife. She graduated from Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, Washington. and married Devan Galloway in 1998. They were together for 30 years this year and married for 22 years and raised their family in Spokane, Washington.
In Nikki’s early career she worked for L&M Truck Sales. Over the years she made a great connection with the owner Sally and they became close friends and also her caretaker when Sally became sick. Nikki looked fondly on this time spent with her and always cherished it. After Sally had passed away Nikki followed her heart to become a homemaker and a stay home Mom to care for her two children, Mackenzie and Mason.
Nikki was strong and never wanted to steal the spotlight from her family. She had an immense amount of compassion and no matter how small the problem, she would always listen and give support to guide and take stress away. One of the ways she did this is through her love of cooking. She could always make the best meals that would soothe your woes.
Nikki loved being a Mom; she held an immeasurable amount of pride for her and her family. She loved animals and was always a dog person. Her favorite friend she had was Tobie. He would stay by her side at all times and she would always share anything she was eating with him whether it was steak or ice cream, she always made sure he was well fed.
Nikki had special relationships with both of her kids; she wasn't just a Mom, she was a best friend. Her son recalls countless conversations with her about everything in life, small or big for hours, it was a big part of their day as they would wake up and begin chores/work. Her daughter Mackenzie, even when she lived on her own, would always be on a phone call with her Mom to spend time together, even if neither of them had anything to say other than mundane woes throughout the day.
She is survived by her mother Jeane Bryant; her husband Devan Galloway; her three children Jack Medlin (Ariel) of Tennesee, Mackenzie and Mason Galloway and her sisters Kathleen and Tiffany Bryant. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Adorn, of Tennessee.
