

Mick was born January 3,1949 in Minot, N.D. to Don and Jo Nash. He passed away March 4, 2011 in Spokane, Washington. Mick grew up in Spokane, graduating from Shadle Park High School in 1967. After graduation he attended Wenatchee Valley Community College to study forestery, before joining The US Marine Corps in 1968. He was a decorated combat veteran of the Vietnam War receiving three purple hearts during his tour of duty. Mick worked for the Bonneville Power Administration and the BN Railroad before being medically retired from the US Postal Service in 1998. He is survived by his daughters, Dadra and Michelle, his mother Jo, and his sisters Connie Mutton and Donna Whitehall (Tim), all of Spokane, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and his son Michael. Mick loved the great outdoors and spent many years fishing, hunting and camping with family and friends, especially in the Priest River and Priest Lake areas. He was a natural comic and he was pure genius when it came to story telling. Mick, you made us laugh, and you made us cry. We love you and we'll hold you forever in our hearts. A celebration of Mick's life will be held Saturday, April 2, at 2:00 PM at the VFW Post 51, 300 W. Mission, Spokane, WA. Memorials may be made to any local charity or food bank.
