Sue was born on September 15th, 1945, in Spokane WA, to Lenore and Frank Faulkner. She attended East Valley High School.
Sue married her first husband Bob Flournoy, they had two children, April and Andy. Later, in 1968, she married the love of her life, Joe Hoffman. They went on to have two children, Joe Jr and Jeremy. Sue was a devoted wife and mother to her family, and always devoted her life to God. In fact, when she was young, she had hopes of becoming a nun. Most recently, she had one request and that was to be baptized. She and her youngest son Jeremy were baptized together two days before she passed.
Sue was an avid movie buff, able to tell you the name of any movie you were trying to think of, along with who starred in each movie. Back in the day if you were looking to rent a movie, you’d go to her instead of Blockbuster, she had quite the collection. She had a passion for decorating for the holidays, with Christmas being her favorite. She was a very giving person. At Christmas it was difficult to walk through the living room with the carnage left over from shopping and wrapping gifts. Sue enjoyed cooking and left many recipes to be enjoyed. Most of all though, Sue loved her family and loved gathering together.
Sue is survived by her children April Matlack (John), Andy Flournoy (Ronda Jones), Joe Hoffman, Jr (Jodi), Jeremy Hoffman (Luna Edney) all of Spokane. Her grandchildren, Jennifer, Ashley and Sarah, and great-grandchildren, Isaic, Bridget and Sage. She is also survived by her sister Janet (Vern), her brother Paul (Phyllis) and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe, her parents Lenore and Loren Logan and her brother Gary.
Funeral Service is scheduled for 11am on April 4, 2022 at Thornhill Valley Chapel and a Graveside service at Pines Cemetery. There will be a reception from 1pm to 3pm at The Brass Faucet, closed to the public. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sue’s life.
