

Thelma “Tillie” Hazeltine Pelfrey, age 92, died August 25th, 2011. She left her home to be with her Lord. She was born December 3rd, 1918 in Moscow, ID and grew up on the family homestead in Viola, ID, graduating from Moscow High School in 1936. She and her husband owned and operated The Nest Café on the University of Idaho campus for many years where her homemade pies were a special treat for the students. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star while living in Moscow. Her son, Ken and husband, Chet preceded her in death, as did her five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Jim Pelfrey and his wife Karen of Spokane, WA; two daughters, Patty Trevino and her husband Tony of Rexford, MT, Janet Howe of Spokane, WA; numerous grandchildren, great & great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St. in Spokane. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Marc Curnutt at 10:00 am on Monday, August 29, 2011 at New Creation Fellowship, 1515 E. Farwell Rd. in Spokane. Graveside Services will follow at 2:30 pm at the Viola Cemetery in Viola, ID. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane, PO Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210-2215.
