Thomas Joseph Johnston

On July 16th 2023 Thomas passed into the open arms of Jesus.

He was born on September 17th 2019 as Thomas Eugene Lines. He entered the foster care system on April 9th 2020 and was greeted with open arms by his foster mother Katrina Strickland.

His happiest day was on April 28th 2023 when he legally became adopted by his mom Katie and had a forever family.

He was so full of energy and love, always moving, and always smiling. His greatest joy was laughing and making others laugh. He was driven to make others happy and feel loved. When he was angry, he would fight with the spirit of a warrior.

Some of Thomas’s favorite activities were building with magnetic tiles, Legos, playing in the water table and splash pad, going to parks, playing chase, and watching his favorite TV shows like Paw Patrol and Blaze. Some of his favorite foods were hotdogs, ice cream, mac and cheese, Cheetos, peppermint candies, and Jelly Bellys.

He attended the Northeast Child Development Center where he found his place to blossom and grow. Every morning he would race down the hall to get to his classroom in pure excitement for what the day held. He was very close to his teachers and loved them all. He made friends there and would tell you all about his day each evening.

He is survived by his mother Katie and her partner John Gardner, who was teaching Thomas what a loving father was like, as well as his sisters Abbie and Kassandra, and his best friend Grandma Ruby. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will be greatly missed.
