(age 87)
Wilna was born February 17, 1930 and she went home to heaven on February 23, 2017. She was born to Howard and Lena Wooden in Bogalusa, Louisiana. As a child she moved to Georgia and she was a real Georgia peach. Wilna was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter, and aunt.
She met and fell in love with her future husband, John B. Williamson, on a blind date in Macon, Georgia. May 9, 2017 would have been their 68th wedding anniversary. She had six kids: five girls and one boy.
Her greatest joy was her family: Shirley (Dale) Szabo, Mary (Randy) Nelson, Lorrie (Tom) Pope, Michele (Curtis) Williams, Harry (Jill) Williamson, and Ivy (Kenny) Hopkins, along with many grandchildren (14) and numerous great grandchildren (16).
There was nothing Wilna couldn't cook, sew, knit, crochet or grow. Her favorite color was purple. We ask that anyone who attends the service wear purple in her memory.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Shriners Hospital or the American Red Cross. Please join us for a celebration of her life at Timberview Church, 15511 N. Howe Rd, Mead, WA on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 3:00pm.
Arrangements under the direction of Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, Spokane, WA.
