Albert “Tom” Karger was born on April 29, 1944 in Portland, Oregon to parents Gordon and Josephine (Zeismer) Karger. He grew up and attended school in Parker’s Prairie, MN., then moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1963. On April 23, 1966, he was united in marriage to Susan Hoffman in Minneapolis. Most of his life he spent working as a Machinist working 23 years at Ver-sa-til Associates Inc. in the Cities and then after moving to their home on McKinley Lake near Spooner in 1996, working for T&T Tool until his retirement. Tom enjoyed fishing, working with wood, completing jig saw puzzles, and occasionally playing slots in Hertel.
Tom is survived by his wife Sue, children: Troy Karger of Spooner, WI, Cody Karger of Eden Valley, MN, Tina (Paul) McAbee of Farmington, MN, 8 grandchildren: Cassie, Samira, Marissa, Sadie, Destiny, Brenna, Alysia, & Luke. sisters: Bonnie Turpin, JoLynn (Jim) Smith, Wendy Karger & many nephews, nieces, cousins and close family and friends.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, son Joshua, and 6 brothers: James, Gerald, Alfred, Ronald, Doug, Michael.
