
Carl was born on June 30, 1933 in Glenwood City, WI to Severt and Lorene (Rabenstorf) Jensen. He graduated from Hammond High School in 1951. He entered into service via the US Marine Corps on September 4, 1951 and served honorably until his discharge on September 3, 1954. He was awarded many honors including two purple hearts during his time in Korea. He worked for the Local 110 Electrician’s Union in St. Paul on many commercial projects throughout the area. He married Judy M. Cooper on July 6, 1974 in River Falls, WI. Carl was a lifelong member of the American Legion, VFW, and DAV. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the out-of-doors, and traveling, especially to Montana.
Carl is survived by: his wife, Judy of Spooner, two sons, Doug (Beth) Jensen of Florida, and Dave Jensen of Montana, two grand-daughters, Ashley, and Faith Ann, one brother, Art (Merlee) Jensen of Woodville, WI, one nephew, Steve (Robin) Jensen of Woodville, WI, special friends, Kevin (Molly) Schack of River Falls , WI, and several other relatives. He was preceded by; his parents, one son, Don Jensen, one brother, Peter Jensen, one sister-in-law, Joanne and Uncle Pete and Aunt Mabel.
A memorial, graveside service was held for Carl at the Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Spooner at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 10 with Pastor Brent Berkisch officiating with full military honors. A celebration of life was held at Lipsie Pines at 3:00 pm on Monday, June 10.
