
Harry was born at home July 6th, 1930 in Rice Lake, to Karl and Mina (McClaine) Langland. Harry met and married the love of his life, Phyllis Carol Allar, June 1st, 1952 in Sarona, WI. He was drafted in the United States Army and served from 1954 to 1956 at Fort Lewis, WA. During his lifetime, Harry held many different titles working as a carpenter from 1956 to 1962 in Janesville; bridge construction in 1962, in Sarona; 3M from 1966 to 1969 in Cumberland; a water well driller from 1969 to 1983; and construction with John Lawson. He was a dedicated worker until his retirement. Harry was passionate about his gardening and farming. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting deer. He was a member of Spooner Baptist Church and the Indian Head Action Agency.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Phyllis; children, Lois (Michael) Geffre, West Fargo, ND, Leonard (Kari) Langland, Carmel, IN, Lisa (Jerry) Egber, Shell Lake, WI, Charles Langland, Rice Lake, WI; siblings, Karl (Martha) Clanton, AL, Joan (Charles) Kay Williams; grandchildren, Kelsey Egbert, Jared Egbert, Brittany Langland, Eric Langland, Kaitlin Langland; many nieces and nephews and friends.
Harry was preceeded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack and George; sisters, Lorraine Kyes, Louella (Peggy) Strabel.
A service to honor Harry’s life will be held on Friday August 16, 2013 at noon at the Spooner Baptist Church with Pastor Flaming officiating. Interment will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner at 2:30 pm.
