Hazel Lenora Hintz

Hazel was born December 6, 2013 in Newry, Minnesota to Oscar G. and Victoria E (Larson) Aleson. She was raised and attended schools in Finlayson, Minnesota. She worked in So. St. Paul, Minnesota. Hazel married Albert T. Falk. They moved to New Trier, MN where they owned and operated Ma’s Inn for eleven years. She moved to Faribault, MN where she managed Dusek’s Bakery for six years. Hazel moved to South St. Paul, MN and worked for Sterling Plastics. She met and married William Hintz June 30, 1973 in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. Hazel and William moved to Dent, Minnesota after their retirement and later settled in Spooner, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2002. Hazel was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Amalgamated Cotton Garment Workers Union. She loved to bake, can, gardening, and fishing.

She is survived by her children Donna M. (James) Otto of Hampton, MN, Thomas F. (Marilyn) Falk of Blooming Prairie, MN, Carol Ann Falk of Spooner, WI, one step son Gordon L. (Lena) Hintz of IN; grandchildren; great grandchildren; additional great great grandchild due in mid 2014.

She was preceded in death by 6 brothers, 1 sister, 1 grandchild.

Pall Bearers were be her grandsons.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church in Spooner, WI with Pastor Brent Berkesch officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Saturday at church. Interment will be in the Spooner Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
