Jerilyn Carol Ormsby

Jerilyn was born on December 10, 1942, in Hayward, Wisconsin, to parents A.W. (Bill) and Jean Lewis. She graduated from Frederic High School, Frederic, WI, in 1960, and in 1982, received her Nursing Degree from St. Luke’s School of Nursing, Duluth, MN. She worked throughout the area, but in Grantsburg, WI, and Duluth, MN for the most part. She lived for many years in Grantsburg, WI, on a farm with her former husband, Carl (Chet) Johnson, where they raised their six children. Most recently she lived in Spooner, WI, with her current husband, Terry, where she enjoyed gardening, canning, crafting and was a collector of many things. She was known to hunt and fish with her husband until ill health forced her to stop.

Jerilyn is survived by her husband Terry; her sons: Bret (Anna-Maria) Johnson of Eagan, MN, Steve (Nan) Johnson of New York, NY, Peter (Donna) Johnson of Luck, WI, William Johnson of Menomonie, WI, her daughters: , Kristen (Greg) Peterson of White Bear Lake, MN, Karin Johnson (Cara) of Superior, WI, 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, her brother Derek Lewis of Hayward, WI; her sisters: Pam (Scott) Schuler of Hilbert, WI, Patti (Bob) Whyte of Hayward, WI, Teri Nugent of Hayward, WI, and many nephews and nieces.

Jerilyn is preceded in death by her former husband, parents and grandparents.

A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013, at the Dahl Funeral Home from 1-4 pm.
