Shawn Renee Ference

Shawn Renee Cooper Ference, 38, of Mechanicsville, VA , passed away on December 29th, 2013. The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on January 2nd, 2014 at 1621 Jefferson Davis Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Pastor Jim Johnson will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service. Shawn was born in Manassas, VA on October 2nd, 1975. She attended Stonewall Jackson High School and continued on to receive a Certified Nursing Assistant degree. Shawn was a thoughtful and caring person who never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She would open her home up to any person or animal. Shawn is survived by her parents Judy and Tony Cooper, her brother Zachary Cooper, sisters Megan Peters and Shannon Cooper, daughters Morgan and Shelby, son J.R., stepdaughter Codie, grandchildren Symphony and Annikah, and other family and friends. Shawn is preceded in death by her soulmate John Burnette, grandmother Marcy Wells, grandmother Jacqueline Cooper, grandfather Thomas Cooper, and her beloved dog Buck. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to your local SPCA or rescue shelter in Shawn’s name. The family of Shawn Renee Cooper Ference wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
