Anthony E. “Tony” Watkins, age 67, died on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving family and assisted by Hernando Pasco Hospice. A resident of Weeki Wachee, FL. since 1983 coming from his native Decatur, IL. Tony was born on September 5, 1947 to Ernest Eugene and Evelyn Nellie (Stull) Watkins in Decatur, IL. Tony was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. Tony worked as a supervisor of Installers at the Gant Tile Company and later drove an over the road truck for the Heyl Trucking Company for 4 years. Tony was of Baptist faith and attended the Church in the Wildwood when he was able. Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Watkins, in 2012 and by his son, Jason Watkins in 2001. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Margery (Watt) Watkins, of Weeki Wachee, FL. daughter, Shelby Christina Riley and her husband Michael, of Dayton, Ohio, Step-daughters; Sherrilynn Antczak and her husband Bobby, of Spring Hill, FL. Renita Ann Swann and her husband Robby of Spring Hill, FL. and Lisa Elaine Swann and her husband Rick, of Newnan, GA. Tony is also survived by grandchildren; Anthony Riley, Austin Riley, Ashley Antczak, Alicia Antczak, Hunter Antczak, Maranda Swann, Jessica Swann, Beau Swann, Shianne Watkins, McKenzie Swann, and Colten Swann. He will also be missed dearly by his mother-in-law May Watt, of Weeki Wachee, FL. brother-in-law, Bill Watt, of Weeki Wachee, Fl. and sister-in-law, Virginia Robinson, of Austin, TX. Tony’s family and friends will gather at the Florida national Cemetery, in Bushnell, FL. on Friday, July 17, 2015, at 10 am for Military Honors to be bestowed by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10209 Spring Hill, and the placement of his cremated remains into a niche. Arrangements and cremation entrusted to the care of Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Dr. Spring Hill, FL 34609. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Juvenile Diabetes Association, or to the Hernando Pasco Hospice Foundation.
