CHRISTENSEN, Antonia “Toni”, age 101, of Hernando Beach passed away peacefully January 2, 2015. Beloved wife for 72 years to the late Harold Borregaard Christensen. She will be forever missed and never forgotten by her loving sons Jorgen and Preben, 2 daughter-in-laws, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, family and friends. Born March 11, 1913 in Vienna, Austria she was rescued by the Red Cross and survived WWI and WWII in Denmark. After the Second World War, Toni, Harold and her sons lived in Sweden and Canada before finally immigrating to the United States in 1956. Toni proudly became a US citizen in 1961 and has resided in the Nature Coast area the past 42 years.
