Christine Marie Bane

Christine Marie Bane (née Budd), 65, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Born on August 15, 1957, in Akron, Ohio, Christine was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Christine is survived by her devoted husband, Tom Bane; her loving daughters, Laura and Lisa Bane; her cherished grandson, Connor Beatty; her brothers, Bob Budd, John Budd Jr., and Patrick Budd; and her goddaughter, Emily Hathaway (née Budd). She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Bane; her sisters, Laura Hoff (née Budd) and Bernadette Budd; and her brothers, Richard Budd and James Budd.

A proud graduate of Buchtel High School in Akron, Ohio, Christine pursued a career in nursing and dedicated many years to serving patients at Edwin Shaw. Her compassionate nature and commitment to her profession left a lasting impact on the lives she touched.

In addition to her nursing career, Christine was an integral part of the family business, helping to run the well-known and cherished Budd's Cake Shop in Akron. Her hard work, dedication, and warm personality helped make the cake shop a beloved institution in the community.

Christine had a passion for old TV shows, particularly those on MeTV, and enjoyed getting lost in the world of her favorite soap operas. A dedicated sports fan, Christine loved the Cleveland Indians, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, and Cleveland Browns. But her greatest love was her family and friends. Christine's kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The closest family members held a private celebration to remember and honor Christine's life on May 13, 2023.
