Christine Cox, a beloved and faithful woman, passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 83. Born in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, on August 30, 1942, Christine led a life marked by dedication to her family, faith, and community.
Christine graduated from Springfield Bible College in Missouri and furthered her education by obtaining a master's degree in counseling from the University of South Florida. Her career was spent nurturing young minds as a mathematics teacher at Hillcrest High School in South Africa and as a guidance counselor at Central High School in Brooksville.
In 1965, she married Joseph Dale Cox, and together they raised three children in South Africa. She is survived by her children, Joseph E. Cox, MD, Jennifer Wiggins, and Jacqueline May. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Jenna, Jacy, Juliana, Jade (Joe), Carly, Shane, Annie (Jennifer), Luke, Hannah, and Jude (Jacqueline), as well as 11 great-grandchildren and counting.
Christine was a devoted member of Gateway Bible Church. She found joy in gardening, cherished her time with her grandchildren, and held her Lord and Savior, Jesus, above all.
A celebration of her life will be held at 12:00 PM on December 17, 2025, at Gateway Bible Church in Spring Hill.
