born in Brooklyn, New York to Gerard J. and Catherine R. Smith. He married Carolanne DeLieto on
May 9, 1965. David worked as a Parkway Policeman and State Police Trooper for the State of New York. He worked for the State of Florida as a juvenile counselor. He then worked as a Santa Claus for various stores and daycare centers, as well as, volunteered as Santa Claus for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and Hospice. He was everyone's Santa and he will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Carolanne Smith; son David N. Smith, Jr.; daughters Theresa A. Neumann (William), Catherine F. Norcia (Louis), and Joanne N. Smith (Rich), nine Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren.
A celebration of life for David will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609.
