Diana E Rios, 75, of Spring Hill, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, August 13, 2020 after a long courageous battle against cancer. Born in Portovelo June of 1945 to Angel and Olga Granda.
The family which included her brother and sister moved to Guayaquil, there she graduated from the Maria Mazzarello Catholic High School.
In 1965 she married the love of her life and the man that would be her companion for life Luis A Rios. Together they raised three wonderful children in Long Island New York.
Diana valued family above all and loved nothing more than to have all her family and friends together for any occasion that required a large meal. Nothing made her happier than having everyone together to enjoy her cooking for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter or any other celebration.
She was a great daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to all. A hearty smile, warm hug, and always a kind word for everyone were her trademark. She was a woman of faith, strength and lived a full and happy life with us all! We mourn her loss but celebrate her life with the knowledge that God is joyously welcoming her into his Eternal Kingdom.
Lovingly remembered by her children: Angel, Catalina (Gerry), and Daniel (Jennifer); her grandsons who were the light of her life: Craig, Luke and Matthew; her brother Marco (Margarita), sister Angela, her niece Berenice, who cared for her until the very end and many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 PM Sunday, August 16th followed by a service at 3:00 PM located at Turner Funeral Home in Spring Hill, FL.
