

Donald Stephen Faniglula Sr., age 81, died August 7, 2026. Born in Utica, NY on December 22, 1944, he was the son of Donald and Jules Faniglula. He was a beloved presence in the lives of those who knew him, and his memory will be held with enduring respect and gratitude. He was a resident of Brooksville, Florida.
Donald served in the Vietnam War and was affiliated with Post 26 Clark Mills, NY, a reflection of his continued connection to those who served and the bonds formed through duty and sacrifice.
Donald is survived by his children, Donald Faniglula Jr. (Angie), Michael Faniglula (Kelly), Julie Yost (Rob), Tammy Faniglula, Stephen Faniglula, and Hannah Faniglula (Conner); and by two stepchildren, Brian Toth (Crystal) and Leann Ebberap (Mike). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother, Robert Faniglula (Barbara) of Frankfort, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by Jack, Daniel, and his twin brother David.
Those closest to Donald knew the steady enjoyment he found in the outdoors and in the simple pleasures of time well spent. He took particular pleasure in fishing and hunting, and he enjoyed the camaraderie and competition of fastpitch softball, golf, and baseball—interests that brought people together and left lasting memories in their wake.
