

Eleanor R. “Ellie” Bowman, age 82, of Brooksville, FL. died at her home, surrounded by her family and cared for by HPH Hospice. A 26 year resident of Brooksville coming from Binghamton, NY in 1990. Ellie was a retired Data Entry Operator for the State Of Florida for 10 years, at the Hernando County Health Department. Ellie also worked for several years as a Funeral Attendant for Turner Funeral Homes. Ellie was an avid Computer Gamer, enjoyed Bingo, and Bejeweled Blitz. Ellie was Christian by faith, and a past member of the Tabernacle Methodist Church, as well as the American Legion Auxiliary, in Binghamton, NY. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, George E. Bowman, in 2006, sister Betty Crimmins and brother, Charles Francis Parshall. Ellie is lovingly survived by her daughters: Linda (Jeffery) Johnson of Brooksville, FL. Cynthia Bailey of Brooksville, FL. Barbara (Jerry) Mullins of Belleview, FL. and son Kevin Huften, 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, as well as her brother, William (Dorothy) Parshall of New Port Richey, FL her good friend Rhonda Carpenter and her 3 dogs, Misty, Kali, and Keri and cat Sampson. Ellie’s family and friends will gather at the Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. The Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 6-8 PM, with the funeral service to be held at 7 PM, with Reverend Chet Okopski officiating. Care and cremation entrusted to her friends at Turner Funeral Homes, Spring Hill, Florida.
