

Frank E. Sciorra, 83, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly Airmont, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. He was born in Bronx, New York to Enrico Sciorra and Grace Delcogliano-Sciorra. He was a former member of the US Navy Reserves and retired as Vice President of Local 318 Health and Welfare Trust Fund UPIU in 2003. Frank was well known for his love of homing pigeons and was able to parlay this into a very enjoyable hobby. Frank’s, St. Rocks Loft, was known internationally and he was recognized as a top breeder and racer of pigeons. He had bred hundreds of first place winners in racing competitions and shows.Frank was an avid fisherman and member of the Hernando County Sportsman Club. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Spring Hill and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Tonelli Sciorra; sons Eric “Rick” Sciorra and spouse Kathy; Frank C. Sciorra and spouse Lisa; daughter Lisa Bollotino and spouse Billy; grandchildren Sara and spouse Skyler; Melissa and Julia.
Memorial service will be 3:00 PM Friday, October 6, 2017. A catered reception will follow the memorial service all located at Turner Funeral Home 14360 Spring Hill Drive Spring Hill, Florida 34609. 352-796-9661
