Glendon was loved from the moment we knew he was on the way. When he made his appearance a little early, he captured all our hearts. Arriving early would become a repeated theme in his life. He was usually the first to arrive for family dinners out and start calling everyone to get arrival times. At holiday meals he arrived early to help with whatever was needed. He was well known in the family as the man to cook the steak, he had a few seasoning and prep tricks.
He was fast and again early, asking why the holdup from everyone. Ask his many friends who he played with and learned with from Thomas trains to dinosaurs to bikes, scootering, skate boards, BMXing, souped up little Hondas to ATV. He was fun and funny, full of life and faithful to family and friends. I know throughout his life his friends heard his common refrain ‘Where are you’ many times as did his family.
Glendon was many things to us-he was the pride of his dad, the best friend of his Mom, the little brother to Chelsea, the big brother to Kayli and GrandShine to his Mamaw the first grandson to his Papaw. He and his sisters had many future plans that they hoped to accomplish together. His dad wanted him to own his company & his mom knew he would always have her back. He brought such joy and life exuberance to the family and we were all honored by that love.
Glendon worked for Turning Point Electric Inc., a local family owned and operated business. He became an employee at 15 ½ on June 29 2015. Except for a break when he worked for Guest Services at Weeki Wachee Mermaid park a nearly year-long stint he took to work on a shrimp boat where he learned a love of fishing he worked 11 ½ years for same company. He was a young man with potential and future.
Glendon James T Allen was born on Presidents Day in the year of the new Millenium, February 21, 2000 and died on October 17, 2026.
Left with broken hearts but the memory of a bright light that we got to keep for almost 27 years are:
Parents: Glenn T Allen and Michelle with stepdad Matt McDermott
Sisters: Chelsea Alldredge (Christian) and Kayli Allen, younger sister & co-worker
Grandparents: Glendon & Carol Allen and James & Zita Alldredge
Uncles: Joshua Allen (Dawn) Cousins Luke, Mason & Issac
Keith Alldredge with Cousins Amber and AJ
Steven Alldredge
And so many friends
Glendon never unlearned the ability as an adult man to say I love you to every adult in his life. The words flowed naturally and I guarantee you the people he was with on Saturday all got a hug with an I love you as he left. He brought so much spark and life to events, and we know he would love for you to stop by to hang out one more time.
